This is OLD.
I did this illustration for the Studio RS artbook two years ago in 2007. We each did a different color-themed illustration for our sections, and I was assigned "black". I was into tribal aesthetic at the time so that's the subject I chose. I referenced simple African masks. And, well, the theme was black so I did little black ooga-boogas. Black spirits with masks.... Now it screams Miyazaki rip-off. lol But I worked really hard on the composition. :] I love dark settings.... Tools: Pencil and Photoshop~ |
